Mycena "sp-AZ03" that Scott Ostuni spotted near Fox Mountain, Colorado last year. I just got a sequence of it back from Mycota Lab. This probably undescribed species currently only known from Colorado and Arizona.

Galerina triscopa is an unusually umbonate Galerina from section Mycenopsis. It was described from Sweden and is also common in North America - these were photographed on the Mogollon Rim of Arizona and were identified by DNA barcoding by Stephen Russell @mycota-lab.bsky.social

Hygrocybe "parvula-PNW01" photographed in New Hampshire and sequenced by Mycota lab. Hygrocybe parvula was described from New York in 1875, so it's likely that this is the real H. parvula.

Microglossum griseoviride in all its glory. Spotted this beauty early in the year, at the cutest little cabin in the woods of coastal northern California, where I stayed to be part of a mycelium women's choir. Just submitted it to @mycota-lab.bsky.social for DNA sequencing! #mycology #dnasequencing
