This young(ish) crested blue myrtle cactus is about a foot tall and is light green. Its shape is slightly curved and twisted with tight ridges. It's in a white pot.

Today’s cactus is the first in a while because I ran out of space, but I sold one of my children, so now there’s room for more. It’s a Myrtillocactus geometrizans (blue myrtle cactus, or blue candle). Grows big, branches eventually, this one has twice already hence buying it. Homeland is Mexico.

photo of my recently purchased myrtillocactus geometrizans with a strange and elaborate growth pattern, blueish green skin, and very small spines located at the tips of its wrinkled ‘arms’. This pot is a 4” (I believe?), the plant is the size of my forearm, not including my hand.

A variegated (tricolor), crested Myrtillocactus Geometrizans (Blue myrtle aka Blue candle) cactus. Its body color is primarily light green and greenish-yellow. Blue sections are closer to the base and between the ridges. Crested cactus are naturally occurring genetic mutations that cause the growth pattern to mutate and form unique, one of a kind shapes.

Ma fenêtre à succulentes ft. le plus petit myrtillocactus que t'as jamais vu (il faut croire en ses rêves comme moi je crois en mon cactus microscopique)
Photo du rebord intérieur d'une fenêtre ensoleillée sur laquelle on voit, en fond, un grand pot avec une euphorbe cactus qui sort du cadre, et sinon, plein de petits pots avec des petites succulentes dedans. On a une crassula ovata gollum , un petit kalanchoé, un miniscule myrtillocactus, puis un pot rectangulaire blanc un peu plus grand avec une echeveria et un pachyphytum. Prise de vue d'un côté où on voit l'euphorbe cactus en entier. C'est en fait une euphorbia ingens et non un vrai cactus. En premier plan, on voit le pachyphytum flou et les autrs petites succulentes. Zoom sur le myrtillocactus dans un mignon petit pot orange. Il est vraiment très petit, il doit faire 3cm de haut et 1 centimètre et demi de diamètre.
