Finally went to Tedakon Soba the other day and then went to look at Nakijin Gusuku and catch the first blooms of the sakura season here. I really love the color of Okinawan sakura!

We went to the remains of the Nakijin stonghold/castle/gusuku in nothern main-island of Okinawa today. Fascinating history, but I also caught this one getting a long drink of water in small pool in a shady nook.

We had some time to spare before taking the ferry from Unten port in Nakijin to Iheyajima. My Okinawan friend took me for a little walk and showed me where they tested the mini-subs there.
