My #MS has now powered through 2 high efficacy, trusted DMTs, Natalizumab (Tysabri) and ofatumumab (Kesimpta).

Only next step is stem cell transplant according to my Neuro yesterday. Luckily I've got an appt next month. See of I can persuade them to deliver CAR-T instead 👍🏼

Tysabri is one of the most powerful MS therapies we have, & its mechanism is fascinating. It works by blocking immune cells from crossing into the brain & spinal cord, helping reduce inflammation. I broke this down in a short, clear video for anyone wanting to understand more!

Are ocrelizumab and natalizumab equally effective in MS? A Danish study found no significant differences in disease control. However, the results should be interpreted with caution, as both patient groups had different characteristics.

Can you get PML as a side effect of tysabri/tyruko used for MS even with extended interval dosing (taking it less often than every 4 weeks)? Unfortunately, YES! This is a case series from Japan. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40875960/

I do think those are different questions, and this framing doesn't really tell us anything useful.

"Oh you're making a lot of money, but you're spending all of it."
Well what that means depends on if it's on Rolexes and Porsches or natalizumab for your MS.
