We've begun a #riverwoods #restoration trial at #Corrour through the Loch Abar Mòr partnership. These small unfenced seed islands are intended to provide cover & nutrients along the river where seed sources are currently lacking. I'll be #monitoring their progress! #naturerichLochaber

Exciting changes are happening at Torlundy Farm, a partner in our Loch Abar Mòr nature restoration partnership. All made possible by £21,480 from the #NatureRestorationFund through @highland.gov.uk, alongside £1,500 from our own Rewilding Fund. Together, we’re helping create a #NatureRichLochaber.
A grassy green field in the foreground is bordered by a dense line of leafy green trees. In the background, rugged mountains rise under a clear sky. White text overlaid in the centre reads, "This Lochaber farm is getting wilder." In the top left corner, the black logo for "The Highland Council / Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd" is visible. An aerial view shows a large, circular twig nest built at the very top of a tall pine tree in a dense forest. In the background, the landscape rises to meet massive, snow-capped mountains under an overcast sky. A text box with a white pointer pointing to the nest reads "prime osprey real estate." A newly excavated, curved pond of brown, muddy water sits within a wooded area. The pond is surrounded by freshly dug dark mud banks, surrounded by trees. A teal text box with a white arrow pointing down toward the water reads, "new wetland habitat." A wide green field under a partly cloudy sky, with mountains in the background. In the middle round, a straight line of post-and-wire fencing runs through the field. A green label with a white arrow pointing to the fence reads "hedgerow fencing".
