Hot take (not really): The more opposition to a neighborhood center there is, the more it should be established. Strong, organized opposition to a nbhd center is indicative of an unhealthy, unwelcoming environment that has stagnated and is in dire need of new infusions of life, diversity, services.

Jenks: We need housing across the entire city, not just on aurora. Dunno that putting housing on high traffic corridors makes sense. Low income people deserve nice things. The way we support nbhd schools is by putting more housing across all nhbds.

My friend and I who both live in houses were bemoaning the lack of walkable options in our neighbourhoods. I would like the population to support a few more cafes and indie grocers actually! Esp since my nbhd already has a decent number of walk-ups.

But also u don’t have to take my word on this. All the ppl against their local nbhd centers say their nbhd SUCKS & is made up entirely of TRAFFIC, is completely full of parked cars ALL THE TIME, has NOTHING fun to do, NO businesses, but should DEF STAY THIS WAY FOREVER. I feel so sad for them damn😿
