The centrist strategy of avoiding any mention of Leandro in order to stay in the good graces of Phil Berger has been an utter failure. If we want the schools kids deserve, orgs like BEST NC, myFutureNC, NCACC, etc. need to ally with the folks advocating for real change.
"Eight states—AL, AZ, FL, GA, ID, IN, NE and NC—saw their real per-pupil education expenditures decline even while their per capita GDP went up. These eight states had the capacity to expand educational opportunities for their state’s children but have gone in the opposite direction instead."
As states get richer, they should spend more money on education & public schools, right?
Unfortunately, most states aren't doing this. Southern states, in particular, are neglecting their students.

However, it's also unlikely that these helicopters fell under South African arms export regulations, through the NCACC, as they're civilian-registered and demilitarised. That means there'd be no End-User Certificate and no legal requirement in SA to verify end user delivery.

There's a need for serious reform within the NCACC and DCAC, to make things both more transparent and more predictable & fair for exporting companies. It should include time limits for decisions, clear yes/no outcomes on permits, and public announcements of export bans.

This is interesting. As far as I know there have been no recent technology exports authorised by South Africa’s NCACC to Ukraine, but Paramount had a number of cooperation agreements with Ukraine’s defence industry before the war and this may date from then.

This is interesting. As far as I know there have been no recent technology exports authorised by South Africa’s NCACC to Ukraine, but Paramount had a number of cooperation agreements with Ukraine’s defence industry before the war and this may date from then.

The county manager told commissioners Aug. 17 that NCACC estimates proposed SNAP FNS changes under HR1 could cost North Carolina counties about $69 million in administrative costs and $150 million in benefit cost; Caswell County’s estimated annual impact was cited at about $23,115, roughly an 84-cent increase in the property-tax rate, and the NCACC is preparing a resolution for county boards.
