augural flare is the best. it makes enemies look like they are being visited by small nebulae, adds some great anticipation, and for long fights it's very useful. if you're kitting out or hiring a sorcerer, don't overlook it!

Planetary formation begins within vast, cold clouds of gas and dust called nebulae. These nebulae are not uniformly dense; slight variations in density cause some regions to attract more material due to gravity. Over time, these denser clumps grow larger. As a clump accumulates more mass, its gra...

slapping a galaxy sticker onto each of my tits and they swell out to twice their size and go visibly transparent with swirling nebulae roiling just below the now-glassy surfaces

i demonstratively tug at one nipple and a steady stream of iridescent sparkly starstuff starts leaking out

Midnight. You held your breath — not for air, but for the quiet crackle of something known. 🌬️ It hums in your chest, like a clock’s heartbeat. You’re walking through light, alone. ✨ Tracing love’s shape in your ribs, the quiet hum of your heart in the dark. 💗

Look, it's either observationally-based nomenclature in permanent chaos or sending out notices every time we find out what something really is and what we should have been calling it all along.

Floating around in space, one finds a cozy face.
What fun it must be, to float along the galaxy.
But not that far, yet not too close.
That's where one finds the coziest abode.
Not a nebulae and not one of stratus
Is where this one finds sleeping status.

Very lovely, soothing piece, heheh

I've been reprocessing some data from last year while I wait for agreeable weather down at Starfront so I can finish a couple late summer targets and another mosaic.
Here's the Horsehead. The data was gathered late November through early January of last year.

Not everything in the Universe glows…

Dark nebulae are dense clouds of gas and dust that block light from behind, creating inky silhouettes. 🔭🧪

🔎 A few spooky spots to find in NSF–DOE Rubin Observatory's view of the Trifid and Lagoon Nebulae:
1️⃣ Barnard 85
2️⃣ Barnard 89
3️⃣ Barnard 302 and 303

Notably all of these are "white dwarfs" a term we will have to retire.

I suggest "core stars" as they are the cores of previous main sequence stars that became red giants which then shed their outer layers, forming planetary nebulae
