Baby Yoshi is a MANDATORY encounter, much like Nejiro who you have to fight to advance the story.
Nejiro has an older brother, Netaro.
Another mandatory encounter after rescuing him from Nerikara (Bowser fits Nerikara's role like a glove, an arrogant leader who falls due to his own hubris).

From FFVII, Nejiro is technically tempered by Jenova because SOLDIER rather than by Hydaelyn. So uh. Already got that covered.

From FFVII, Nejiro is technically tempered by Jenova because SOLDIER rather than by Hydaelyn. So uh. Already got that covered.
Sometimes the best way to proxy through your trauma too though. I know it's helped me with putting it on Nejiro.

//Fuck it Imma muse a bit on some headcanon. So nejiro is a SOLDIER from FFVII and he winds up in Eorzea, I like to think for any SOLDIER that ends up there, their aether is out of whack as they're used to being juiced on Mako but Mako isn't ambient so it kinda has it's own metabolic rate.

//This means most magic heavy Jobs make SOLDIERs into utter powerhouses. Depending on that SOLDIERs ability to control this raging river of Aether flowing through them. Nejiro isn't great at this control so DRK suits him but finesse jobs like BLM or WHM don't.
