Now more than ever we need to construct Neo Grapevine as an anti-fascist haven deep in the heart of Texas.
A neofuturistic artificial island constructed in the middle of Lake Grapevine, a suburb in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. It is a play on the setting of the Manga and Anime "Akira," where extreme growth and damage by war cause Tokyo to construct an artificial island in Tokyo Bay for more space, known as Neo Tokyo. Neo Grapevine is meant to be a dense, walkable utopia of 10,000 people, with limited car usage and well funded public facilities. It is a funny joke, because in Japan they have very limited buildable space, so the necessity of an artificial island is plausible, but Texas has plentiful buildable land, as evidenced by the expanse of car-dependent low-density sprawl around the lake. The juxtaposition of the hyper-dense, urbanist island with the suburban expanse calls into question the wisdom of such decadent land use. Using an artificial lake as the body of water for the location of this artificial island also adds to the absurdity of Neo Grapevine. Modernist intervention created a body of water here, and instead of reclaiming land by lowering the level of the dam, an even more intensive intervention is done to create an artificial island in an artificial lake. The artist's attention to detail heightens the dadaist foolishness of the endeavor, as much of the low-lying land around the original shoreline has been submerged through a clever application of photo editing software. Thus; Neo-Grapevine simultaneously decreases the total buildable area in North Texas, but grows the population and economy. As a final twist of irony, a freeway interchange for the benefit of the urban population of Neo Grapevine is built on top of Trophy Club, reversing the traditional paradigm of freeways dividing largely minority urban neighborhoods for the benefit of white suburbanites. And route 0, because yee haw.

Today a study of the Punisher. Both open in machine gun setting. I like both truly - 98 is retrofuturistic, simple and elegant, similar to the trimax but distinctive. Stamp’s has neofuturistic and bulky build - she is a thicc girl :D
