Just had this painting in progress re-stretched after being rolled up for the last year or so. Now I’m re-drawing its future calling on images from my memory of the pond behind my house, and Monet’s Seine. #drawingintopainting #newvisions #greenfieldmass #highlandpond

Card #114: Mark Nelson

Nelson appears to be taking some...artistic liberties with the looks of Dengar & Zuckuss.

Future Marvel Editor-in-Chief with a surprisingly mellow but very nice Yoda.

Card #105: Sam Keith (B)

Much bigger Keith vibes here, in another card that got used in promos and whatnot a lot.

Card #111: Moebius

Do you think Threepio and Dark Helmet ever get together to play action figures together?

Card #118: George Perez

Even in an extreme closeup, Perez packs in a ton of detail, like the texture on the horns/tusks.

Card #109: Cynthia Martin

Martin's work on the original Star Wars comic remains deeply underrated - though this card barely resembles her style there.

Card #129: William Stout

One of my favorite cards. Love how the Ewok (presumably Wicket) both blends in to the background but remains the focal point.

Card #107: Mike Lemos

After 1997, all copies of this card changed the angle of Greedo's blaster and made it clear he'd already fired a shot. 😏

This must have been used in some of the promo materials or something; it's one of the images I most closely associate with this set.

Card #124: Walter Simonson

Simonson's run on the original comic back in the post-Empire, pre-Jedi time period, so presumably he means he never got to have any cool Vader/Luke/Leia conflicts.

A rare for '93 look at the man inside the mask.

Interesting that Sienkiewicz's Fantastic Four work gets cited but not his New Mutants.
