The FDA recently approved the birth control implant Nexplanon for use up to five years, instead of three. But to providers' surprise, it also placed the device under a special monitoring protocol called REMS, which is infamous for the way it has limited access to medication abortion.
I tried to get my nexplanon replaced in early January even though it was too early and the doctor rolled her eyes at me and said “he’s not coming for that” and I was right then and I’m right now and I hate being right about this.

July 15th, 2022 - Nexplanon implant was inserted in my arm per my "ex" scheduling an appointment at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Ohio. The clinic was informed that this wasn't my consensual choice when they confronted me about him getting my birthday wrong. I expressed fear of him and Alabama.

As a cis woman I was given the same hormones my Dr would prescribe a trans patient when nexplanon had me bleeding for a straight year. My dad had to take T blockers as part of cancer treatment. You probably know a cis woman who's had some kind of breast adjustment. It's normal!
