I was able to grab a quick photo before the moon rose last night.
Three objects in Cassiopeia:
- upper right corner: M52, an open star cluster
- middle: NGC7635, aka Bubble Nebula, a red emmission nebula
- right edge: NGC7536, a red emission nebula
Astrophotograph showing three objects as described in the text. 48 minute exposure with a 30mm f4.3 130mm focal length triplet refractor using a Sony IMX662 2.0 megapixel sensor and a broad band filter.

Esta nebulosa con forma de burbuja es el resultado del violento viento estelar y la radiación producidos por una estrella masiva de tipo O. La estructura de gas incandescente ha estallado contra una nube molecular próxima dando como resultado esta peculiar forma.

Not only in Champagne are bubbles nice, as a nebula some 7 to 10 thousand light-years away, this one is a pretty big, but also a beautiful one. Name ist SH2-162 or NGC7635.
Taken yesterday from Switzerland.

#Astrophotography The Bubble Nebula (NGC7635) is an emission nebula, a gaz bubble pushed by the stellar wind of a young and hot star, almost at the center of the bubble. The star is approx 2 millions years old, but to produce such a wind (1’800 to 2’500 km/s) it already lost some 25% of its mass.
Something looking like a soap bubble is levitating above a irradiated nebula cloud, ina dark sky full of stars.

This popped up on memories. #NGC7635 the #BubbleNebula from 27 January 2022, taken with our Altair Astro 8" Ritchey-Chretien telescope + Altair Hypercam 183C. 87 x 3 minutes. A few years later it was used on the packaging of one of the Wildsmith Skin limited edition Christmas gift sets!

The 7-light-year-wide "bubble" is blown by intense stellar winds from the massive star SAO 20575, which is 45 times more massive than our Sun. C11 / NGC 7635 The Bubble Nebula - unprocessed image. The central star is actually off-center; it appears in the upper left because it's moving through space while pushing against a dense region of cold gas.

Some WIP astro images, been pointed at the Bubble Nebula, Thor's Helmet, and Bode's Galaxy. All three were edited entirely in Siril, using a custom pysiril processing pipeline that is handling a combination of exposure times across multiple nights.

A fantastic capture of the Bubble Nebula! Getting 125 minutes of exposure on the Seestar S50 has really allowed the delicate shell of the bubble and the surrounding emission nebulosity to pop.. 🌌✨
