"Circle of Expansion"

Q is known to employ arcane constructs in his many workings.
Scattered about his tree, one can find 'Space Expansion' circles, that can create space and be used for teleportation.

The tree's cavernous Nightmeadow Hollows are prime locations for this.

Q's tree, rising high from the center of the Blue Mountains, houses many cavernous hollows, on account of how its trunk, itself mountainous, rises and twists and coils upon itself. The hollows themselves are very expansive, containing veritable plains all their own, often covered in greenery that thrives upon arcane energies, which the tree's bark and very veins are replete with. Such expanses, verdant yet hidden from the sun outside, have come to be called Nightmeadow Hollows. They provide excellent shade and shelter whenever the outside weather might prove disagreeable (and are, generally, quite pleasant to simply hang out in). In a few of these hollows, the wizard has set up arcane circles of Spatial Expansion, much like this one here -- denoted by its casting using an Expansion Rune as its core, and Space Runes to use Expansion with, additionally equipped with an innate arcane-flow generator, and switch-seals to facilitate ease of use. This type of circle primarily serves the function of 'Localized Space Creation', allowing the wizard to use innate arcane flows in order to create extra space for a variety of purposes. The most common use for this is to create an extraplanar pocket, to allow him plenty of space whenever charting Grand Arcane Arrays -- which, expectedly, require a heck of a lot of space to work with. (Pro tip: Also great for movie-night projections!) The secondary use of this circle is being a teleportation anchor. Given that Q's tree is itself very, *very* expansive, having a small teleportation network set up around key points therein was something that he quickly decided was necessary to set up, and they thus serve this purpose, as well. (Incidentally, many Nightmeadows have their ceilings decorated with Q's arcane trinkets (forming 'skies of chains and glimmers' therein). When folks like Q or Mr. Fig want a moment of both respite and open air, they might be found around the Nightmeadow Circles, gazing up at the "stars" above, pondering.)
