#nmesp naeun in ch3: "…if you can survive four years under him, he’ll make you the best version of yourself." IM GOING TO SCREAMMMMMMMMMM

gonna use #nmesp for spoilery posts moving forward! i wanna talk about the story very clearly but also appreciated that i didnt know that much going in.

#nmesp i love the through-line of using public opinion as a way to control and punish. youngjo and compton obviously use it on garam for their own goals but i cant actually remember if hj does rn hm

#nmesp there are many moments in the first few chapters that feel perfectly placed to be referenced in the final arc, like h/g's first meeting in the hallway, 'are you han garam?' and the long black puffer jacket. the 4 years thing just feels like evil foreshadowing for bk 6

Was falling asleep and had a series of brilliant ideas about adapting nmesp into an original thing with a bit of political espionage attached to give it a plot beyond "what if those guys were civil servants" and naturally it RULED and I got all excited and then forgot every detail by morning

specifically that one scene in nmesp

NMESP chapter 5 has an incredible Stizzy scene with Izzy wearing heels - along with a lot of other incredible scenes - archiveofourown.org/works/397149...
