Dear US business owners with mostly non-US trade:

Consider opening operations inside Canada. We have free trade with most of the world, lower input costs, lower costs per employee and no health care benefit costs at all. Keep your domestic operations to supply your US customers.

OOPS!

I work at a large international high-tech instrument manufacturing company. We are US HQ, but 2/3 of our customers are non-US.

The effect of the tariffs is to move our US manufacturing OVERSEAS to Malaysia, so we can build and sell to our International customers without paying tariffs.

I don't really think Americans, even the ones who read non-Fox news, have fully internalized how much the current administration has just pissed off potential customers of US goods around the world.
Wow when I saw this post, it was so wild, I had to look up the raw trade data for myself.

Sure enough, U.S. wine exports to Canada have fallen off a cliff:

Good news! The back braces & wrap ankle braces have all arrived to both my Canada and US locations!! They should start shipping out to US customers next week! And for Canada & International (non US) customers. They should ship out late February since I'm recovering from surgery!

Thanks to Trump, Canadian firms are now sourcing their non-Canadian supplies from non-US suppliers.
This is a sample notice from one such Canadian firm to their Canadian customers.
They are a very large, family-owned ice cream manufacturer in Canada.

The insane thing about the U.K. law is that it does not only apply to U.K. customers. It can potentially be used to go after non-UK customers as well. Say, people here in the US.

A small update to the production process for The Quiet Year - I've abandoned the hand-stamped box in favour of sticker labels. So much quicker and more consistent to assemble!

Brexit pretty bad for Sterling as a reserve currency: UK exports to non-EU and non-US customers now more often invoiced in USD than GBP.

Just a heads up, we and other non-American furry vendors are "Business as normal" for US customers as the De Minimis exemption is still in place - We are not affected by any the tariff wars if the total of goods purchased is under $800.

A not-so-elegant explanation below on this. 👇

Major alarm bells over this. Bessent wants US banks to require customers send in copies of their passports etc. to prove citizenship, which would be far beyond the know-your-customer checks that they're required to do already. Implies this could result in closing bank accounts over non-compliance.

Boo!

Scared ya. :)

If you order something from my Kofi shop this month you'll get one of these guys with your order :) (sorry US folks, still unable to ship there, this offer applies to any non-US customers)
Oh no, how'd this happen! Some weird orgs managed to get their pamphlets into the indiegogo orders! I dunno which one got where, but I know there's one per envelope. And if you order thru my kofi shop, there'll be one of these in your order too! (the new pins coming to the Kofi shop soon)

I will begin to make starter packs for artists that are non-US and that have shops!! ✨

The tarriffs screwed us all so I think it would be neat to have a list of people outside the US so we can find new customers!

Please post here and I'll add you! I'd love a link of the shop too so I can be sure!

And it's done.

I was going to call it Hubble's Bubble but that might confuse it with an inconsistency in the Hubble constant. Iykyk.

So I'm going to call it

Apparently CGL no longer offers other shipping options for non-US customers :(
BT Essentials at 12.50 bucks, and AGoAC at 45 bucks is a steal <3

If you're non-US; email store@catalystgamelabs.com to get custom USPS shipping for reasonable shipping costs, the store offers overpriced premium courier by default <3

I will still have some stock here in Canada for my Canadian and International Non US customers. But I will be moving most of my products to the US.

My business isn't doing well at the moment. My business risks closing if things don't get better soon. I'm doing my best.

Everyone outside of the US, please check this shop out. They have fantastic non-representational toys, all plant-themed, and I’d really really hate to see them go :( They need non-US customers right now.
This is not the news we wanted to post about, but until further notice our custom listings have been closed.
Everyone who has outstanding orders with us has been processed but until we can order more silicone customs and new drops have been put on hold. 😥

An NSA or CIA request for information is likely accompanied by a non disclosure 'gag' order, which means US companies do not let their customers know if they relayed data to the NSA or CIA and similar agencies.

Without knowning, everything seems to be normal.

We’re continuing to monitor changes to tariffs, and we will make additional adjustments if needed. For non-US customers, there is currently no tariff impact, and we’re keeping the same pricing and availability of our products.

Jesus christ. AI coding platform Augment code had to jack up prices because 22.5% of their users were spending 20x of what they paid, and even after raising the prices, they're still running at a loss.
