I’m not sure we’d be able to hear anything over the sounds of nonstop coast-to-coast celebrations.
Imagine a liberal court that ruled that the Second Amendment only protects the right to bear arms for purposes of a militia, and thus, guns can be banned by any state. Now imagine 13 states banned all guns, and another more than a dozen came pretty close. Would you hear about anything else?
This is the first election since the MAGA Supreme Court ended Roe—why are we talking about anything else?

I'm old. Ancient, even. I remember 1976, the bicentennial. The excitement reaching that milestone was palpable--celebrations nonstop for months. It's heartbreaking to think about the difference now, 50 years later. All for good reason, and it's just one more awful thing about the present moment.

I have upside down American flags across my front porch in Austin, TX. It has rained nonstop all day and all July 4th celebrations have been canceled. Central Texas is flooding and people are dying, having no idea the flood was coming. I find it very apropos for this point in American history.

What convinces me even more that they know that they cheated is they aren’t having celebrations. They didn’t have party one since election night. In 2016, it was nonstop partying. This time, both sides have been quiet as the grave. What gives. 🤷🏻♀️

Winter is great for feeling super cosy, doing snow sports, festive celebrations & eating a little bit bad as a treat, but sucks because "No sunlight ever" & "Almost always ill"
Spring is perfect for more extreme sports like MTB or Kayaking but sucks because nonstop rain, also I'm usually broke.
