This paper is a trial published in July 2025 and used Nonthermal Plasma as an air purification method in office settings. Here is what I conclude from the publication:
Nonthermal Plasma Air Purification Reduces Infection Rate and Alleviates Symptoms in Upper Respiratory Tract Infections: A Randomized Controlled Trial
As most of our time is spent indoors, indoor air quality is crucial, especially during seasonal virus outbreaks. Acute upper respiratory tract infections (URTIs) are among the most prevalent diseases...

I assume that you meant to write "magnetic field" there?

For Mars; atmospheric escape is mostly by thermal Jeans escape, which is not changed by the presence or absence of magnetic fields. There are nonthermal processes too, for which magnetic fields may matter.

Lots of popular models (like axions — both strong and ultralight — are in the first category. All it takes is being lighter than ~10 eV (which is ruled out for thermal production but there are lots of nonthermal mechanisms)

Nonthermal plasma assisted desorption and conversion of captured CO2 from atmospheric air
CO2 capture and conversion are essential to mitigate the global climate crisis. However, sorbent regeneration frequently relies on the high-temperature thermal-driven process, making the integration of intermittent renewable energy into the process an inherent challenge. Herein, with a lime-based sorbent model syst

For 30 hours, nonthermal plasma kept a Pt/CeO2 catalyst near 34.1% carbon monoxide conversion in the water-gas shift reaction. Thermal operation fell from 34.3% to 21.5% as surface species built up. doi.org/hb8m7b
Plasma approach keeps catalysts working for longer in hydrogen production
Scientists from the University of Manchester have shown how a plasma-based approach, using nonthermal plasma—an electrically energized gas often described as the fourth state of matter—can prevent catalyst deactivation in a key hydrogen production reaction, maintaining stable performance for 30 hours while also changing how the reaction proceeds at the molecular level.

Mars is small enough that hydrogen escapes simply because warm gas molecules have speed.

The carbon dioxide has a higher molecular mass, so it has not all been lost yet.

Nonthermal escape also contributes.
