I'm finally watching Noozles as an adult. I was obsessed with it when I was preschool aged.
Cool to recognize the voice of Pinky as Cheryl Chase, who was later the VA for Angelica Pickles.

This is tricky because while I could argue Voltron was my earliest exposure I didn't watch that show as faithfully as I watched Grimm's Fairy Tail Theater, Maya the Bee, The Little Koala, The Noozles and Maple Town which are ALL contenders! Also I tended to gravitate to the NES Zelda manuals too!

So many. The 3 that stand out to me were Noozles, Grimm’s Fairy Tales, and the Mysterious Cities of Gold.
The execs at Nick were just trying to fill blocks. And honestly, a lot of that programming was more interesting than the in house, first run stuff that replaced them.

know a lot about Toonami, but it's not the only thing I know about, and honestly Nickalodeon was the most on top of airing localized Kodomomuke in the US in the late 80s and early 90s, as they had Noozles, Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics, and Maple Town (among others)
God once again I am reminded there are English speaking "anime" fans that didn't grow up with a single kodomo anime, Japanese cartoons for little childreDORAEMON WOULD FUCKING KILL YOU

QTP with a gif of your first anime ever.
I don't see a Noozles gif so here's a koala scratching its ass.

Nick Jr had quite a few anime shows like Maya the Bee and Noozles but I had no idea they were Japanese. There were just "cartoons" and "different cartoons"

I'm not sure if this or Speed Racer (or Noozles) was my actual first anime though.
