Black and White. Huge limestone cave mouth set in a limestone cliff with mountains in the background. At one time the cave ran all the way to the sea (about 750m), the roof has, over time, collapsed to reveal what we see today.

One of our North West Beach Clean volunteers hauled this huge pile of ropes off the beach at Inverpolly in Assynt earlier this week.

Just messaged to say it weighed a colossal 265 kg !

Amazing effort, well done all involved !

North West Highland Beach Clean volunteers results for July 2024. In total 32 beach cleans completed by 38 volunteers, resulting in the removal of 626kg of rubbish. Total for the year so far now 9.711 tonnes.
