Played Nucleum with the Australia and Energy Research Institute expansions tonight. I didn’t think I really needed more complexity in Nucleum but it sure was fun to explore all the new systems here.

Nucleum still delivers in spades. I taught two newbies at our local club last night and we all had their brains pulled about in a delightful way.

So I played Nucleum the other day. When It comes to #boardgames I usually focus on tactics rather than strategy. I did not expect to do well but I crushed it. Got all three main public goals. Fun but sorta finicky and somewhat inconsistent rule aspects leave this at a “I’ll play your copy” rating.

Today, I walked to a game store that just opened up in my neighborhood and taught Nucleum. I am so lucky and grateful that I will get to play board games every week now for the foreseeable future!
