Works of art do not receive official landmark status. @NYCPublicDesign approves all works of art that stand on City property more than 1 yr, even if it stands w/in landmark districts. This artifact was not approved. Move it. www.thecityreporter.nyc/2026/08/26/b...

Unclear exactly how long this design has been in pipeline, who designed it, and whether it’s been vetted by @nycpublicdesign. If anyone knows answer, please do tell. www.nytimes.com/2026/04/07/n...

This is wretched sculpture and illegal. Also, if the work is placed on NYC sidewalk, then it’s @nycpublicdesign ’s role to review it, most likely for revocable consent, unless it’s there for under a year. This is the #FearlessGirl of #Brooklyn. Hope agencies quash quickly. archive.is/E9Hfd/image

I recall the efforts to create a park in Drumgoole Plaza both before and soon after 9/11. It came before the @nycpublicdesign, and we made a site visit. Something was eventually built there, but it wasn’t terribly inviting. So this new, expanded space is great news! Congratulations, and thanks!
