Oathmark:

I needed a couple of objective markers for my Oathmark campaign. They both represent wood supplies, however the larger stack will also double up as a signal beacon.

“The beacon is lit. <generic fantasy kingdom> calls for aid!” 😅

Happy with these though. 👍

Oathmark:

I added a few more little details and I think I’m done with the actual builds now.

I’ll start the basing process later and then hopefully start painting them tomorrow evening. 👍

Oathmark:

I managed to get my Orc Linebreakers primed and dry brushed, ready for painting tonight. I also got some textures on the Spear Thrower bases.

I want to get these all painted and finished by Wednesday. So I’ll have to make the most of my time. 👍

Oathmark:

My Dwarf “Firebeard” Linebreakers are now finished.

I’m chuffed out how well all the Dwarves have turned out and I’ll look to get some light infantry to go with them, at some point and I’ve still got to get a few more Dwarves for the “Dragon’s Breath” guns as well.

Oathmark:

I decided I wanted some war machines for the Humans, so I used some sprue frames to make a couple of spear throwers.

There’s no firing mechanism or details yet, but I’ll add some bits and bobs later.

The crew are Warlord Anglo-Saxons, with North Star heads and arms.

Once again mourning the fact that we don't have a website that would tell us how well the Oathmark elf bodies match to @wargamesatlantic.bsky.social Operator arms or Perry Prussian arms...

Oathmark:

I’ve started painting my Dwarf “Dragons Breath” guns, although I still need to get some crew for them & I’ve also built, based, primed & dry brushed my Dwarf Linebreakers unit.

I’ll hopefully get this lot done over the weekend and then it’s back to Konflikt 47. 😃👍

Oathmark/Fallout:

I wasn’t in the mood for a lot of painting yesterday, however, I’ll crack on with the 20 Oathmark Dwarf Heavy Infantry tonight.

In the meantime, I did manage to add some plastic bases to some of my Fallout scatter. They’re a lot more stable now. 👍

Oathmark:

“The Firebeards have long since been the veteran unit of the Dwarves and these stalwart warriors have held the pass of Khadras, on the northern border, for half a millennia.”

-Watchmaster Griss.

I’ve really enjoyed painting this unit. Miniatures from @northstarfigs.bsky.social.

Oathmark:

WIP on my Dwarf “Firebeards” Heavy Infantry.

Really happy with today’s progress. I managed to get them from their primed stage, all the way to the wash stage.

I’ll start highlighting them and hopefully finish them tonight. 🤞

Better pics once they’re finished.👍

Thanks you! Oathmark is a great set of rules and an ideal starting point for collecting a fantasy army or two. 👍

A guy in one of my groups has run that game. There is a brief write-up here by one of the players: miniaturescrum.blogspot.com/2021/07/oath...

Oh Yeah! Those Dwarfs look awesome! Coincidentally, yesterday I took delivery of some fancy-pants Elves, for the same #Oathmark. Have to say I am enjoying my foray in fantasy gaming, it’s proving a positive experience thus far.

Oathmark: Second Edition reviewed! In McCullough's mass battle game you recruit only from the lands your kingdom holds. Undead are now in the core book, but what about Bane of Kings and Battlesworn?

I was honoured to be asked by Osprey Games, in addition to the cover, to make some interior art from Oathmark Second edition by Joseph McCullough. Classic stuff for me.
Here's a selection.

Some ranger types I put together using Oathmark L Infantry, awaiting undercoating.

More elf #kitbashing. Combination of #oathmark human infantry parts, #whfb wood elves, and Victrix roman bodies.
They're gonna need a little bit of cleaning up, some putty details and capes, and that banana sword needs fixing

Not entirely sure tbh. I quite like both Oathmark and Dragon Rampant and I’ve dabbled in Kings of War in the past but this maybe more of a nostalgia hit.

Could just return to 5th/6th ed Warhammer I suppose…

I want to kitbash an army of orcs with a mix from so many different kits (Erehwon orcs, Hail Caesar gauls, two separate Oathmark kits, Frostgrave cultists...), but I only want a couple of frames from each kit 😢

While I was waiting for some of my training colleagues to finish their coding exercises, I started to think about the fact that Fireforge has some dwarfs that might look decent as a different kingdom in Oathmark, if they are not huge compared to the Oathmark ones.

Played my first proper game of #Oathmark, at #CLWC I was running a Goblin army against the brutish Dwarves, having a basic overview of the rules I played fast and loose, aggressively defending the ruin-stone objectives from a organised and calculated Dwarf assault. Great fun.
