However, Rosalina managed to keep one thing from Peach before they got separated - either a stuffed animal, or a picture of them, or something - that she keeps as a memento in her library.

Seeing that is what finally makes Peach's memory click into place when she gets on the observatory.

But in her travels, she finds something else - the Lumas. They don't have a family and are looking for their mother. Rosalina, knowing the heartache of losing a loved one, refuses to let these star children feel that loss. She becomes their mother, and makes the Comet Observatory their home.

for years, Rosalina searched the cosmos, but couldn't find her little sister. She has searched hundreds upon hundreds of galaxies, she even invented the Comet Observatory to find MORE galaxies to find the one Peach ended up in... but it's all for naught. She's lost forever.

Gas Spotted Swirling Around Baby Exoplanet In First Image Of Its Kind
This isn't the first time a planet has been caught in the formative moments of its growth. The famous Jupiter-sized planet seen forming around dwarf star PDS 70 precedes it by many years. But WISPIT 2b has a claim to another first. Thanks to the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) observatory, an enormous radio telescope system in Chile, WISPIT 2 is the only star system where we see the protoplanetary disk, evidence that the planet is growing, and the very swirls of gas falling onto the planet all in the same place. "We clearly see both planets shaping their environment. WISPIT 2c has carved a cavity, and WISPIT 2b a gap," lead author Myriam Benisty, from the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy, said in a statement. "Around WISPIT 2b, we find swirls of gas that had been predicted by simulations of disk-planet interactions, but never actually seen before. Now there is an image of them!” The swirling gas appears as a series of pixels that might not appear spectacular to the untrained eye, but to the researchers, they represent a phenomenal feat. At over 400 light-years away, they say, getting this amount of detail is like a person being able...

Hundreds of physicists tracked desert air showers to constrain Lorentz violation, only to find muon fluctuations insist the universe remains stubbornly, depressingly symmetrical.
Bounds on Lorentz Invariance Violation from Muon Fluctuations at the Pierre Auger Observatory | Phys. Rev. Lett.
Quantum gravity theories often modify spacetime symmetries. In particular, Lorentz invariance may be violated when approaching the Planck scale. Although the scales at which interactions occur in extensive air showers induced by ultra-high-energy cosmic rays in the atmosphere are many orders of magnitude below the Planck scale, these violations might still be observable. In this Letter, the fluctuations in the number of muons in the extensive air showers measured at the Pierre Auger Observatory are exploited, for the first time, to constrain Lorentz invariance violations. The bounds derived in the hadronic sector are the strongest ever obtained, and do not rely on assumptions about the mass composition of ultra-high-energy cosmic rays. The fluctuations in the number of muons constitute a new and powerful observable to further explore Lorentz invariance in a region of the parameter space not accessible to other observables.
