Some years ago I became hyperfixated on Japanese woodworking thanks largely to this book by Toshio Odate. I made a toolbox out of hemlock and alder. based on the design in the drawings. Lots of new stuff for me! A live edge feature, compound angle cuts, ship lap joinery, and clenched nails!

Wieder was gelernt: Wer am Odate–Noshiro Airport landet, wird von zwei Akitas begrüßt. Und weil das Programm dazu nun zehn Jahre alt wurde, hat man einfach gleich mal zwei Akitas zu Flughafen-Direktoren ernannt. Kluge Entscheidung.

Hachikō was born on November 10, 1923, at a farm near the city of Ōdate, Akita Prefecture.[3] In 1924, Hidesaburō Ueno, a professor at the Tokyo Imperial University, brought him to live in Shibuya, Tokyo, as his pet.
