Some would say "sneaky tactic" others would observe that odometer fraud is a federal felony. A creative prosecutor could probably tack on some conspiracy and mail or wire fraud charges too.
It’s not subtle, in this lawsuit a customer says his odometer was running more than three times as fast as it should!

Some would say "sneaky tactic" others would observe that odometer fraud is a federal felony. A creative prosecutor could probably tack on some conspiracy and mail or wire fraud charges too.

It seems Tesla is detecting vehicles that may have problems, and artificially running their odometers faster so the warranty expires before they have to do any service
