You may have seen that our office announced today that Ezekiel Kelly has entered a guilty plea for the September 7th, 2022 mass shooting that left three people dead and three others wounded.

Kelly will serve 3 life sentences plus more than 200 additional years.

"Lack of prosecution" in the context of General Sessions Court usually means that a witness didn't show or refused to testify. It can also mean we were unable to meet our burden of proof at that time.

We can take it to the Grand Jury.
