'The detachment from reality of the GOP is off the charts.'
The detachment from reality of the GOP is off the charts.

Fired federal workers, who have had their livelihoods shredded by Elon Musk, are asking legitimate questions. People are scared at losing social security.

Hagemen: “It is so bizarre to me how obsessed you are with federal government.”

WTF.

Gorgeous. Went out last night and barely a flicker in the sky - though the meter wasn't going to the ridiculous 1,500+ levels it did in '25. #offthecharts #onebigtwinkie

3 RBA board members get to say "we told you so" at the next meeting. Question is whether the other 6 say "this is exactly what we want plus some more unemployment please" or "yes, we've been wrong all year".
The latest unemployment figures show the RBA has utterly failed its role of maintaining full employment.

Get a good job that pays good money? Sorry Joe Hockey but over the past decade no one with a good job would have been able to save up for a deposit in Sydney on their own. And as @grogsgamut.bsky.social writes - most couples could not either #OffTheCharts

Gas company tax is paying for the wages of nurses?
Yeah. Nah.
Over the past decade, nurses paid more tax than oil & gas companies

Gas companies are taking the piss.

Australia is increasingly criminalising peaceful protests while allowing corporate lobbying to thrive.

As @jack-thrower.bsky.social writes - Protesting fines are expensive; lobbying is cheap. #OffTheCharts
