My eighth and last drabble for #OFMDPride!

archiveofourown.org/works/667264...

#OFMD #OFMDFanFic
A turquoise square with the title #OFMDPride Turquoise/Magic/Art A white box with the text “Okay,” said Lucius. “Time for the big reveal!” The room went hushed, glasses stilled and babble quieted. Stede squeezed Ed’s hand, trying to reassure him without giving away his own nerves. Lucius pulled the sheet and it fluttered to the floor. Stede gasped as tears immediately sprung to his eyes. “Oh Lucius,” he said shakily. “It’s beautiful.” Ed’s hand tightened in his. “Mate, I… just wow.” His voice sounded choked. Lucius smiled and waved a hand. “Well, I did have stunning subjects.” Stede took in the painted portrait of him and Ed, laughter lighting up their faces. “It’s absolutely perfect.”

Drabble number 7 for #OFMDPride

archiveofourown.org/works/667264...

#OFMD #OFMDFanfic
An indigo square with the title #OFMDPride Indigo/Serenity A white box with the following text Ed looked up at the stars, laid in the sand beside his husband, holding his hand, and sighed. It was a happy sigh, the kind he had learnt existed only recently. The Inn was almost finished, just a lick of paint needed, really. His days were filled with tending to the garden, paddling in the sea, spending quality time with his favourite person in the universe. Life was pretty damn good, actually. He looked over at Stede and smiled as he found him looking back already. “I love you so much,” Stede said. “Took the words out of my mouth.”

archiveofourown.org/works/667264...

#OFMD #OFMDFanfic
An orange image with the title #OFMDPride Orange/Healing Then a white box with the text “When I was a boy, I didn’t even know this was an option. Not really. Of course, I was at boarding school, so I knew some of the boys had teenage fumbles, but that was just the frustration of puberty. Actual love? Never something I’d ever known was possible.” Ed squeezed Stede tight. “The world might not be accepting, but fuck ‘em. We’re all that matters.” Stede smiled. “I’ve never been happier. I feel like something that was missing, that I never knew was missing is now something I get to have every day. I’m so happy you found me.”

A screenshot of the tags and details of the fic, available at the link for screenreaders A screenshot from AO3 Drooling For It ramsay_baggins Summary Stede swallowed with anticipation as Ed came back with a silver chain. He stretched himself back and held his arms up, letting Ed reach over him and thread the chain through the metal loops on his cuffs and then through the hardpoint on their headboard disguised as decoration.

Was planning on writing something for this but failed so a cheeky reshare of a thing I wrote a few months ago that was meant to be dabble but ended up being 1905 words and I don't know how to describe/tag but pride flags, joy and acceptable and all that. #OFMDpride

Drabble 4 for #OFMDPride!

archiveofourown.org/works/667264...

#OFMD #OFMDFanFic
A square with a red background and the title #OFMDPride Red/Life Then in a white box the following text: “So that long story, ever gonna tell it to me?” Ed asked. “Well,” Stede sighed. “There was this abandoned ship, and I found the most beautiful red suit on it. Truly one of the most stunning things I’ve ever worn, I think. Fit me like a glove, lots of gold detailing, it was like it was made for me.” Ed swallowed. “Yeah? Where is it?” Stede wrinkled his nose. “The crew thought it was cursed, so they ripped it and then made me give it away. It’s gone.” “They what ?” Ed growled. “ I’ll give them a curse to worry about!”

Drabble number 3 for #OFMDPride

archiveofourown.org/works/667264...
A picture with a yellow background with the title #OFMDPride Yellow/Sunshine Inside a white box is the following text There was little else that Stede loved more than standing at the prow of the Revenge as the sun spilled diamonds across the waves and the wind rushed past him. Except Ed, of course, but that was a given. There was just something so freeing, looking out into the expanse of blue, no clouds in sight, and knowing that he could go anywhere. Do anything. Live the way he wanted to live. Ed loved to stand on the deck above and watch Stede at the prow, grinning as wind rushed past him. His own personal sunlight no matter the weather.

Here is my second drabble for #OFMDPride :D

archiveofourown.org/works/667264...

#OFMD
An image with a green background and the title #OFMDPride Green/Nature Then in a white box the following text: “Oh, look Ed! That plant right there is extremely rare! We’re very lucky to see it,” Stede said as he practically skipped across the path. Ed wasn’t the biggest fan of nature, but there was something about Stede’s enthusiasm that really got him going. Stede had no idea how much Ed had almost given up on the outdoors completely after their first disastrous not-date where Ed had been bitten by bugs and then stabbed a snake with his penknife after it fell on him. “Isn’t it beautiful?” Stede asked, holding a flower. “Yeah,” Ed said, looking at Stede. “It is.”

My first drabble for #OFMDPride is Violet/Spirit!

I'm posting them on AO3 here too: archiveofourown.org/works/667264...

#OFMD
A violet background with the title #OFMDPride and Violet/Spirit In a white box, the following text: Stede looked around and felt the tears spring to his eyes. He gripped Ed’s hand a little tighter, tried to convey the depth of his emotion. “You okay, love?” Ed asked. “Look at them all,” Stede laughed. “So many people, all of us together. All of us here because of love. It’s amazing.” Ed smiled at him. “I found my first Pride a bit overwhelming too. Honestly, it always chokes me up a bit, no matter how many times.” “It feels like my soul is being recharged,” Stede said. “I can feel it, I’m finally where I’m meant to be.”

It's Pride month so maybe we could all do a rewatch post-a-long and then we could do like, a big thing where we reskeet our favourite art/edits/fic and have lovely discussions about them all on the TL? It could be a really fun way to love on our show and fandom and combat fomo 🥰

To those from outside the UK who are upset you can't go - lots of pirates in the UK also can't afford to go, so we can all hold hands and find something else fun to do that weekend together to combat the fomo 💖 Don't make financial decisions you'll struggle to recover from 💖
