Okay, y'all, what do we think about this? Yay or nay?
As expected, a lot of detail was lost during carving the lino cut, but placement on the bg turned out exactly as I wanted <3

Photo of a black lino cut print on coloured, handmade paper in colours of the trans pride flag. The print shows two flags tied with rope to a driftwood branch. First flag on top over the white coloured paper has writing on it, reading "OUR FLAG MEANS LOVE", second flag underneath on top of the pink paper is black, showing the tip of Blackbeard’s spear and a heart symbol with three tear shaped drops underneath. Hopefully (if the lino cut turns out good), this will become the print for the bigger transflag coloured paper sheets. Most detailed cut I've attempted so far & I'm afraid to start ó.ò

The leftover cut-offs from the handmade paper reminded me of clouds, so I made a little pirate ship collage for the #OFMDcraftfair out of it <3 Yes, all the rigging is individual little paper pieces 🫠

#ofmdart
A collage made out of textured handmade paper in tones of blue, pink and white resembling the colours of the trans pride flag. A black pirate ship with three white sais and a black flag is seen from the front, cutting through light blue waves. Behind it, clouds in a gradient of blue, pink, white, pink and blue are placed on a pinkish sky, with a white sun being half visible over the clouds.

Changed the lino cut a bit & experimented a bit more with dyed handmade paper (3 on the left) and prints on black cardboard (2 on the right). Really like how the gradient turned out <3
Let me know if you'd like some of these for the next #ofmdcraftfair?
A photograph of 6 lino cut prints, showing a tipped over bottle and a blank banner. They're printed on black (handmade) paper in a blue-pink-white gradient, representing the trans pride flag. One print on white paper shows just the flag colours as a gradient.

I was lucky enough to win a commission from Mint for the #ofmdcraftfair and LOOK AT THIS STUNNING ART of the campground boys from Doubt Thou The Stars!!! An absolute dream experience, could not recommend highly enough!
An black ink drawing. Four characters, two men and two kids, are looking at bears in the distance in a nature setting. One boy, Louis, is on the shoulders of his dad Stede, while a girl, Alma, holds Ed's hand.

The #ofmdcraftfair and it’s amazing mod team have been bringing me so much hope for the past few weeks. It’s also made me start thinking about joy-led ways I can help my local community, and I just got some markers to paint rocks with messages of love and encouragement.

If any of you are the proud owners of an #ofmdcraftfair sewn item (a dog bandana or the caticorn pillowcases) donated by me, they were made by my mom!! She heard about the craft fair and donated more items than I did!! 😭
Here’s Harv modeling a similar dog bandana that she made for Pride last year
A red dachshund chihuahua dog with a blue pirate bandana around his neck. He’s a good boy.

This #ofmdcraftfair item is a crochet kerchief made from 100% merino wool. Not as big as a shawl, but that means that it can kind of be worn as a necklace/bandana to show off the fun edge stitches.

Hyping my #ofmdcraftfair items! First up is this crochet bag! It’s SO SOFT—if Edward Teach asked if it’s silk, I would say yes! A cotton silk blend! It’s made with crochet and Tunisian crochet detailing and is a perfect accessory for summer.

TV fans raised thousands for trans youth One special edition teapot raised $5000 for the fundraiser (HBO) In March, fans of the beloved show Our Flag Means Death raised more than $85,000 (£66,300) to help queer and trans youth, despite the pirate romp being cancelled. A craft fair created by fans of the TV show aimed to raise money for the Campaign for Southern Equality's Trans Youth Emergency Project. With the creator of the series, David Jenkins, promoting the fair and donating several props from the show, it ended up raising thousands for a fund in desperate need of cash.
