This expresses succinctly what I feel about No Kings marches. They repeatedly failed to direct any of that momentum AT anything meaningful. Rather than direct those masses to Ohare when ICE posted up inside, organizers said “no, we’ve been planning this for months. We’re not changing plans now.”
A march with no further threat behind it is a *parade* that may manifest into incremental acknowledgements or adjustments but will not spur an indifferent power into capitulation and meet exactly the demands being made. *Rioting* works, and moreover, that work in France is not yet done.
