Last night we got 2inches of fresh snow and it really freshened up the the cloak of #winter here in the #OkanoganHighlands. The Chickadees were bustling, doing their #bird thing and appreciating a full feeder.🪶

Hairy vs downy woodpeckers. I can always tell by size but today I captured comparable photos. The Hairy woodpecker (right) has a longer beak and tail feathers. The Downy woodpecker has fluffy feathers at the edge of his white belly. #birds #birdfeeder #okanoganHighlands #US
