Hit the nail on the head. Disney tried to copy the Ollivanders model for Galaxy's Edge with Savi's Workshop, but misunderstood what makes that special.
Ollivanders is a free show with a soft upsell. Savi's at $250 is expensive and too limiting (one guest is allowed with a paying customer).

No sorting hat, poo. They also didn’t have maple / dragonheart string wands so I went full death eater at ollivanders. The actor was hilarious and so good at his performance.

Second Generation Interactive Wands will be available in Orlando at at Ollivanders Wand Shop in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique in Place Cachée and various locations. There's been no announcement for these upgrades in Hollywood.

Another great one - compare Ollivanders (basically 10-minute show experience with a soft-sell for one person to buy a wand) to Savi’s (reservation strongly suggested, not seeing this unless you’re a plus-one for a $249 paying guests).
