those Three Degrees of Separation:
🍀Omagoqa remix D-Malice track
🍀D-Malice refixes DJ Spen track
🍀DJ Spen starts out in hip hop (boy?) band Numarx, who wrote and released the original “Girl You Know It’s True”, 🍀which Frank Farian repurposed for Milli Vanilli

nice one!
also, that’s quite a trip you set me off on this morning! I wasn’t in the know about “Gabryelle”, neither refix or original, and I did not know (or had completely forgotten) about the origins of “Girl You Know It’s True”. only three degrees of separation between Omagoqa and Frank Farian!

My fav new album this week is Blueprint by Omagoqa, ZVRI & MrBeats, five producers from 🇿🇦 Durban who were in various collectives before they became famous and have regrouped for this project. In short: best, hardest, most unrelenting gqom album I’ve maybe ever heard.
