Last night I finally swung by NEC and picked up my @gailsimone.bsky.social BoP Omni vol 1 I have had on hold for over a week. While I was there I picked up this banger of a book! Harley & Ivy: Life & Crimes #1 written and drawn by my incredibly talented can awesome friend @ericafails.bsky.social

I do kinda understand it. I think subsidies, permitting reform, and the federal government not actively fucking over solar/wind can get us far on climate.
Like I prioritize going after ICE and accountability, Immigration reform, dc statehood, scotus, etc. over another giant climate omibus bill

If you could understand why the Omibus bill or as we call it the Crimnibus bill is so scary for DC residents, you have to understand that by several metrics we're already the nation's most policed city & the Black population is mercilessly terrorized by policing with numerous murders by cops.

I just mainlined This Is How You Lose The Time War (Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone). I'm halfway through an omibus of Ambergris (Jeff VanderMeer), and my number came up at the library for House of Leaves (Mark Z. Danielewsky).

Omibus for the Last Herald-Mage came. Reliving the first books and relearning that this was the book the define me as a person and realizing I was part of the LGBTQAI+ community. Also do not regret in showing my library Card saying "I read Banned Books" on my keys.
