World Movie News: The Last 24 Hours NAZA opens its self-distributed US run at New York's IFC Center today, and happy birthday to Monica Bellucci and Marion Cotillard. Morning all — a smaller one today, but a genuinely significant milestone for a documentary we've been following since Venice. Here's what happened in the world of movies during the last 24 hours. NAZA begins its unconventional US theatrical rollout: As trailed after its NYFF premiere, Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor's Gaza documentary NAZA opens today exclusively at the IFC Center in New York, the first step in a genuinely unusual self-distribution model spearheaded by The Guardian and mk2 rather than any traditional studio or indie distributor.
