In #SecondLife I chatted briefly with husband and wife, Talvin and Dianna. Dianna is 100% blind but still plays SL via Radegast viewer. They made me realize just how much we take for granted as sight-abled users.

I used to do stuff back when the source library was just called libSecondLife before it got renamed to OpenMetaverse. The reason islands are used is due to worlds being able to make use of all dimensions, whereas OpenSIm/SL are limited to a specific height, set gravity, on an infinite X/Y plane.
