Nová verzia hry OpenE2140 s podporou Skirmish AI
Autori vydali novú verziu hry OpenE2140, open-source remake staršej poľskej RTS hry Earth 2140, ktorá po novom obsahuje aj Skirmish AI. Hra je postavená na open-source RTS engine OpenRA.
Aktualizácia prináša aj 12 nových máp, novú ponorku ORCA pre UCS (vyzbrojenú raketami), opravy chýb a ďalšie drobné vylepšenia. Pri prvom spustení je potrebné nahrať dátové súbory z pôvodnej hry podľa návodu na inštaláciu. Vývojári plánujú pokračovať v dokončovaní chýbajúcich herných mechaník. Celkový plán vývoja nájdete na roadmape a podrobnejší zoznam úloh na GitHube. Viac informácií nájdete v oznámení o vydaní.

Sounds like they're using AI where it makes sense.
I considered C&C:TS to be the ultimate evolution of the original C&C, but I could never get it stable on my Windows PC. Plus, Michael Biehn.
I've had some great fun with OpenRA and the C&C assets, but I'll check this when there's a Linux build.

The way they built OpenRA is more of a "mod engine", so people can make their own. I think there's at least one Yuri's Revenge one out there.

George wants to improve his RTS skills so I was summoned to destroy him and his friend and show them how it’s done. I didn’t even know what the controls were (OpenRA, only ever played RA2) but I still deployed those nukes in <10 min.

Usually projects like that are for PC games and called engine reimplementations sometimes. OpenRCT2 is amazing. The very old OpenTTD is like a pioneer in this space. OpenMW, OpenRA, we picking up on the naming pattern yet? haha! Super Mario Bros Remastered is a non PC game one. Many more...
