A mod on /r/opensource has declared #AI is “incongruent” with #opensource software, and also… banned non-English speakers who use translation

Meanwhile Linus is AI-pilled and letting his agents rip on the #Linux kernel for 23x perf gains lol

> If you don't speak English, you need to find a different community. We cannot distinguish between AI-written and AI-translated. Since you don't speak English, you can't even verify yourself if it translated correctly.

While the AI ban is getting most of the attention, mods are placing other restrictions on posts as well. Projects submitted must be at least one year old, actively maintained, and have multiple contributors.

Opensource '''community''' when the biggest ambassador of opensource uses AI code that gets super reviewed and if it sucks Linux yells at you
'Unfortunately this is AI slop now *bans*'

Looks like only one of the moderators of that sub actually made the call. The rest either have some combination of speaking other languages or running projects that allow translation.
