#optoutprescreen
Since I know this does not get advertised, there is a service in the US called OptOutPrescreen which stops unsolicited pre-approved offers. I requested this over a year ago and the only unexpected mail I get anymore is nonprofits asking for money.

Same here, and I was at my wits end. I submitted opt-out requests for my dad to Epsilon and OptOutPrescreen (main data brokers), which did help some. For the ones that didn't work for, I emailed them and told them he had passed. It took over a year, but it has now reduced it almost to zero.

Used to. Went a little far on privacy countermeasures the past 2 years to where people can generally only call me over signal or leave voicemails on real phone numbers lol. Helps.

Have you used optoutprescreen dot com? Free.

And the better incogni alternative EasyOptOuts.

Oh no! I'm not sure if it'll help to do it now, but our lender had us opt out on optoutprescreen and donotcall(.)gov first

All 3 credit bureaus frozen.

IRS & SSA sites (login.gov/ID.ME) accounts created with 2FA and verified to me.

Optoutprescreen opted out.

Chexsystems account frozen.

Trying to think of anything else to lock/freeze/hold..

ok don't laugh but I just realized today that you can opt out (in the USA, I don't know if they send annoying shit in the mail like this elsewhere) of getting credit card prescreening offers in the mail either permanently or for five years by using the optoutprescreen dot com website

Unwanted loan calls, many AI-generated, are flooding phones nationwide, built from personal data found online or leaked in breaches. Answering or calling back confirms a number is active. Hang up, don't call back, and use OptOutPrescreen (1-888-5-OPT-OUT) or the National Do Not Call Register.
