And every other OC and piece that followed.

It took some effort but Dematrice was eventually able to convince Orphada to try something. Turns out there are some advantages to having a husband with 5 heads.

In a jrpg sort of context my humans are player characters or mini bosses. And Orphada and Calypso are super bosses.

Orphada and Calypso are a hydra and dragon respectively. They are the top of my power curve and they are going to be very difficult to take down

The rest of my ocs are human adventures. They’re skilled and will put up a good fight but not anything too special.

Calypso never understood why Orphada would marry a human. So when Dematrice came to her for help on a quest, it was the perfect opportunity for her to try and find out.

Dematrice and Orphada! A happily married couple of adventures.
Orphada is an Apothecary and spends more of his time helping people in towns while Dematrice go out to deal with monsters and bandits.

I finally actually wrote something with Orphada and Dematrice. It’s almost done, then i just have to decide where to post it.

I don’t think i have more lore to add to Orphada and Dematrice. At this point I really should try writing stories and then posting links for them here.

Orphada is ultimately a kind and stoic individual, his days as a dangerous monster are behind him.

With decades of experience and powerful tonics, any adventurers how visit him find it well worth the visit.

If Orphada is out matched in a fight he can partially transformation back into a hydra, letting his body get covered by more scales and his arms extended as his necks.

If he’s pushed far enough to have to reveal his other heads, then everyone is going to die to protect his secret.

Orphada on the other hand, is constantly underestimated because of his profession of apothecary. Nearly anyone picking a fight with him is going to be overwhelmed by his strength.

And that’s without him partially transforming back to a hydra.

Dematrice, Orphada’s wife, adventured in the past as a druid before meeting and settling down. Now she tends to their garden, growing the herbs Orphada needs for his remedies.

She still gets the urge to adventure and sets out to see the world, with or without her husband.

Orphada’s doesn’t run his clinic on his own. His wife Dematrice is a huge help tending the garden as a druid while Orphada focuses on producing tonics and elixirs.
Orphada also often has an apprentice, providing additional help as they learn and keeping an eye on things when the couple travels.

I feel like I’ve been struggling to solidify anything with Orphada and his wife (coming soon) since they were both made for generic fantasy and don’t fit anywhere specific.

Travels as an apothecary helping out wherever he can. He’s appearance puts people on edge so he takes great effort to remain calm with his patients, but those who manage to aggravate him end up facing a much more monstrous side of him…
