So, my child is high needs autistic, needs 24/7 supervision, not toilet trained, non verbal etc
NDIS want her to try multiple different mainstream OSHC programs before making a decision whether she needs specialised services.
She attends a special school FFS, mainstream is not safe or equipped.

i burnt out on childcare and it’s happening more and more because the ratios are dogshit and the pay isnt much better. 9hr days responsible for so many children over like a handful of months was just speedrunning the burnout i got at other centres/in oshc

Fun fact (which I was recounting to @phantomdiorama.bsky.social recently)! I once had to make a "No German philosophy" rule when I was OSHC coordinator, because things had gotten very intense on that front. Oddly, that was not a Hegel-related issue.

昨天下午学校打电话说老大在 OSHC 的 TV 房里睡着了，老师贴心得给量了个体温，38 度多，于是赶紧接回家，买了测试的东西测了一下，是甲流。
我其实也有症状，怕冷，身上疼，头晕，温度在晚上也升到了 38 度多，但是我没测出来任何一个呈阳性的病毒。
我和老大都赶紧吃了 Oseltamivir。
经过一晚，我已经完全退烧，身上也不疼了，除了有点咳嗽，但是老大还在烧。
可能我吃 Oseltamivir 吃得时间早，毕竟我是昨天傍晚才有明显症状的，然后赶紧吃了药。老大前一天没烧，但是有咳嗽喷嚏这些，过了 24 小时才吃。
老二妹妹暂时没事，但是今天也没让上学，怕有症状，还在观察中。

This whole story is our issue with #NDIS - they have no idea when it comes to level 3 (severe/profound autism). Their decisions are based on lower needs & that’s not ok.
They want me to put my severely autistic child into mainstream OSHC to ‘try it out’. A 7yo who is equivalent of a 2yo #auspol

But for us it’s OSHC which is less secure than a child care centre because the kids are older (therefore more aware of safety risks)
