here are some of the cave ostracods that only live as epibionts on cave crayfish. I assume their freaky long legs are so they don't fall off

bromeliad ostracods (tree shrimp) are totally happy living forever in this little vial with some of the gunk from their bromeliad and a crumb of fish flake every so often. probably undescribed or introduced species

So many podocopida ostracods (aka seed shrimp) in my last sample. Some were HUGE! And some were weeny! And they were all 100% adorable!

Instead of torturing a beta fish in your tiny plant vase, consider: ostracods. They're physically indistinguishable from a sesame seed in size and appearance but they have a lot of personality i swear.

I did something really absurd with the numbers, like, I increased the size of the ostracod collection nearly six-fold. I only started collecting ostracods about three years ago
