Yeah and in the late 00s I despised OSX, so it left a bad taste in my mouth that's never recovered lol. Now, I appreciate the OSX aesthetics of OSX even though I've never reallt used Apple products. Can't get sucked into that expensive ecosystem lol.

You could try Site Sucker if you don't have a ton of work up there: ricks-apps.com/osx/sitesuck...

OSX Mountain Lion is the best OS ever made. It's all been downhill since.

I had no idea this still existed. Last time I used it was pre-OSX.

at least on OSX it's "help I lost my cursor, make it bigger so I can see it", and people still hated it

All the positivity around MM prompted me to grab Tangle Tower, which I’m LOVING.

Will move onto MM asap.

(And thanks for making osx builds)

My day job is building assistive tech for motor and communication disorders, and once I was director of PM at an eye tracking company.

I’ve been asked several times on here recently for a way to use those trackers to control Macs, so I put a tool together. This will flash the firmware from OSX.

Oh interesting! I thought you meant that Ubuntu was so great that it left Gnome behind.

To my mind, Gnome is like someone took OSX and implemented it correctly (with a few exceptions).

School conversations 10 yrs ago:
We save $$ using chromebooks bc the management of updates & permissions etc is too overwhelming & Google takes care of all that mess

Don’t worry about the Linux, osx, windows stuff not working: There are Google equivalents

Get addicted to cheap/free
then get owned

Oh my dear soul, I have a monstrous rack in a warehouse on a wind farm in Idaho 🤣 (true story, it’s how I absolve myself)

Sorry, being flippant. But I sleep in Ubuntu, OSX a close second, and windows is a mutant freak. And powershell is an abomination

I have stumbled into a way to stay on Apple's ecosystem and get off my iphone (bc that's what my whole family uses to organize). I am running Kait2en on a MacBook Air. I left OSX on it for reasons. I will log into my Apple account on there and connect to it via Gnome (mostly the calendar).

Huzzah.

OSX is probably like Gnome: you either love or hate it.

And yes, Apple is very good at sucking us into their ecosystem. I'm in an iphone family. When I move off mind--which I have to do, they're so disgusting--it's going to bust up our ability to organize our household.
