This is nothing more than a trial balloon to see how much "conditioning" it will take before the US populace will accept it. It's a similar tactic to the one they tried with Harvard - overdemand and then walk it back to a comfortable place.

I mean, public healthcare can coexist with private practitioners and networks and negotiate prices all the way down.

I'll be honest, not been too happy that storage has 5x'd in price cuz of overdemand and I'm sure once the market can no longer be irrational that'll jump up higher once petrochem feedstocks run dry

(The 'LOL, infrastructure' is genuine, by the way. Which campus has the capacity of so many lecture theatres to cover these mega classes? We already drag students in way earlier and later than they want, just because of overdemand on space. The mega modules are simply *not feasible*.)
Each uni has a consultancy in that tells them how to run a degree cheaply. They all simply say 'mega lectures' (LOL, infrastructure) & 'generic modules staff is interchangeable on'.
It's pitched as rationalising, creating a 'sustainable' portfolio. But its destroying what university actually is.

I don’t know the details but they may well targeting modules with lower registration, where a world expert gets to teach their research to a relatively small number of the keenest students. You know. Those modules that stick in the students’ minds for the rest of their lives.

This is the one thing I'll always be harsh with my peers on. It is unproductive to ignore the reality in how we contribute to overconsumption and overdemand of plastic goods.

THAT REALLY SUCKS... the same thing happened with the shadow plushie last yr, they sold out immediately bc of overdemand (and probably scalping!!!) and like never restocked. i hope youre able to find one T__T i can keep an eye out at my local store too

None of this changes the fact that there are people for whom these drugs are not medically indicated who are the main drivers of the overdemand. I work in clinical trials. What's happening is bad for those for whom it IS medically indicated (access) and for those for whom it ISN'T (safety profile).

No it won't as many of these jobs are public sector and skilled so will cost quite a lot to train, skill and pay if aim to meet huge overdemand. Which will mean higher taxes on other workers as the reliable revenue stream to meet it. Deliveroo drivers will just get less take home pay.
