I'll be writing more about this later, but the fact that there are no ICE (or other armed) federal agents at the polls and no federal takeover of elections is not because we are "lucky" or our system is "strong:" it took a ton of hard work from lawyers, election administrators and civil society.

Hahahaha indeed! There's a storage compartment where the gas tank should be as they moved it elsewhere, but I tend to be overprepared and I like the extra space. Rain gear, bags, small tools, etc. Next year's plan is to get some panniers to round out storage.

Some people do the bare minimum that is required of them, some do it as a financial thing

If I were home, I would show y'all my single bin of disaster preparedness and how much more stuff I have in it than you even need. I am overprepared. You can do it much smaller. Divided the family bin among packs, one book bag for each family member, and slide each bag under that person's bed.
