i am guessing what happened here is that they overbill *accidentally* all the time but this time either they got overzealous or accidentally coded them in as uninsured by mistake. i’m also guessing the standard policy any time someone tries to dispute a charge is to fight/threaten them.

Have you read any of Swartz writing? He was wildly anti-copyright/ownership of creative work in any form. He’d be cheerleading what the AI corps are doing now. That doesn’t excuse the crazily overzealous prosecution he faced, but he was all for stealing creatives work.

No idea who but I’d wager this is an overzealous interpretation of the old testament’s law to not create a carved image of God for worship. Unusual to extend it to paintings but I can imagine how you might go that far.
