Sometimes an unruly shape file is too much to use in my normal process, but it ends up being just perfect for the paint process.

I suppose there's a lesson in there. Just because you don't work in one group, doesn't mean you can't shine on your own. Or something cool like that.

There is a bit of an art nouveau quality to this paint series Wednesday piece, but in color and in line behavior.

One of the early influences that got me thinking about art like this was Celtic knotwork, and this also has a little of that, although not with intention.

The paint series post was delayed by almost two days, but it's here and I really like this one.

The glitch original image resulted in a lot of metallic-looking color reflections, but the strong blue keeps the focus simple.

This week's Paint Series Wednesday is a walk in the park. The colors are easier, the shapes make sense, it sits right in the frame.

It's just a little ... wormy, is all. You know. Magic worms. The ones that get in your skin and make you powerful. Power, yes ... but at what cost?

One of the things about the Paint Series that I've been doing is focusing less on texture, and letting the texture of the simulated brushstrokes provide enough.

However, with this one, it feels almost closer to my normal series with all of the textural elements. Luminous and squishy.

Wed. Nes. Day. I still have to say it to spell it right. This is what we get for naming days after Norse gods.

It's paint series time, and this one came from the same set as the last, and I almost nixed it, but it looks like it glows. How can I delete that adorable face?

On this Wednesday, we are cooking with GAS!

Got another paint series alternative today, which I'm very happy with. Lots if primary energy here, along with a little floral flare. This one might look good printed on a wall scroll like some traditional Asian art stuff can be.

Last week, the paint series piece I posted I didn't love, but was wildly popular in some of my circles. Maybe this will be the opposite, because I love this one, but I also know these colors are pretty garish.

These colors feel '70s California Surf Shop to me. How does it strike you?

I don't know why the purples and blues end up being some of my favorite combos when doing my #paintseries, but maybe it's because they feel so #iconic.

The biggest challenge is making them print-ready because purple almost never converts to CMYK perfectly. It always needs #tweaking. RGB ruined us.

This is an alternate piece to the one I posted last wednesday, because sometimes the variations are too good to let go.

The paint series tends to produce more alternates than my main series, and at a certain point, I don't feel the need to choose. I can keep both.

"The ugly truth about the worldwide AI takeover is a lot more embarrassing than people let on, especially for the humans."

"Because we lost?"

"No, because it was an accident. We didn't program the AI that engineered our doom. It was the result of bad cable management."

This paint series piece was saved from the bin by some alpha reviewers, and I think part of it due to the '80s aesthetic which is making a comeback.

The original glitch file that I used was very VHS-coded, but with a few tweaks, looks a bit monstrous.
