I won't rest until I've seen EVERY work of palaeoart in EVERY medium.

That’s a concept that’s always on my mind when looking at especially pseudosuchian looking retro palaeoart!

Owing to the fractured state of social media, please also share this link with anyone who might want to attend. Chris and I are on a number of social media sites but not all, and we have no reach into places with large palaeoart communities, like Discord.

And calling this a "salon" started off fairly ironically, but has now stuck!

(not least because we want to include the artistic and historic dimensions of palaeoart as much as possible)

Our aim is a friendly, low-cost, conference-like event and anyone seriously interested in palaeoart (especially those who create, consult on and research it) is welcome. So, artists, scientists, historians, enthusiasts... use the survey to tell us what you'd like to see at an event of this nature.

Creating a first class compartment on a home-built aircraft makes sense when a first class passenger needs a flight, especially if the passenger has a giant pink backpack larger than a wardrobe.

We learn something important at the hospital today:
OXYGEN IS INCREDIBLY HEAVY.
(No wonder they keep it outside with no lock on the cylinder cage).

I haven't seen these in ages! Is Stolpergeist doing alright, does anybody know? They seem to have disappeared from the online palaeontology/palaeoart community completely and with very little warning.

I do have to freely admit, if I was asked to explain what breathing felt like, I'd be hard pressed to give a sensible answer.

(The shopping expedition in the £0 store went well though).

A few more details can be found in the survey itself. And yes, if this goes ahead and is a success, we'd like to make it a regular fixture. No other events in the UK provide a platform to discuss palaeoart at a professional level, despite the clear potential and benefits of doing so.

Today's four random works of palaeoart:

Jan Sovak's Jobaria and Afrovenator, @markwitton.bsky.social's Dimorphodon, Peter Zallinger's Scelidosaurus, and Steve Kirk's Liopleurodon!

When your plane passenger says she wants to go to hospital but she's not ill, should you still panic?
(It's good they're not the panicking type).

Reply to this post to receive a random piece of palaeoart. Dipping into the depths of my collection has revealed some very fun ones that I'm eager to share!

"The maximum speed of an aircraft is inversely proportional to its size."
This is the sort of thing they teach you in Future Bay.
