Gonna get an ultrasound of my parathyroid glands to see which one(s) are swollen. Based on the location directly to the right & left of my throat, I think its medically necessary for a tiny to go in there & palpate (massage) my esophageal walls to locate the problem! X3

When evaluating hypercalcemia, initial workup includes parathyroid hormone (PTH) and Vitamin D-25 levels. When those come back normal or inconclusive, you then check a Vitamin D-1,25 level, which will come back inconclusive. Then you check a PTH-rp level, which will not come back in your lifetime.

I’ve been on the receiving end of medical malpractice because reporting my fatigue caused by a parathyroid tumour to my gp made him test me for everything except my parathyroid and calcium levels. He kept attributing it to a depression I’ve NEVER had.
This is a well-documented pattern in medical research and reflects systemic gender bias in pain assessment and treatment.👇

My Momma has MS, along with Lime's Disease and a bad parathyroid that has been eating her bones for most of my life.
The amount of effort and gaslighting she had to get through just to LIVE almost broke me last year. She got the parathyroid taken out, but she is permanently disabled physically.
